In light of Rick Warren’s latest troubling tweets I’ve decided to focus predominately on him this week. After all the man The Nation calls “America’s Pastor” was listed as one of the 25 most influential evangelicals by Time magazine.

Rick Warren has been tremendously influential through his best selling book, which means many millions of people have been subjected to his misuse of scripture, his narcissgesis, his “bring the kingdom” theology and other problems as well.

Before I begin, I would like to say that I have no personal animosity toward Warren. I’ve never met him and for all I know he is well-intentioned and kind-hearted. But it is my belief that no matter how sincere he may be, his teachings are very dangerous.

So I will focusing on many of those teachings this week and I might even have to give some great books away later this week. Please stay tuned and chime in with your thoughts and concerns as well.

About Julia

Here's what you might like to know about me. My name is Julia and I'm a Christian. I love the Bible and, much less importantly, a good steak. My goal with this site is to share the truth of scripture with believer and non-believer alike, and to specifically encourage believers to study and know the Bible, and warn them of false teachings in and around the church. Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith."
