Don’t Miss List 6.1.13

I have another list for all of you today.

The Gift of Siblings

Frank Bruni’s column in The New York Times last week about his brother and his other siblings was beautiful. I was so touched. It makes me want to write something about my own brother.

Stand Up for the Truth’s Podcast on Emergent Church

This week SUFT interviewed Sarah Leslie of Herescope and Discernment Ministries Inc. The discussion was about the emergent church and where it is heading. Leslie also sheds light on the origin of the term missional and ideas like spiritual formation. This is a very important discussion.

Crucifying Morality only $4.99 for Kindle

Pastor R. W. Glenn’s new book Crucifying Morality is less than $5 bucks through Amazon right now. I haven’t had the opportunity to read it yet, but I did purchase it this week. I had the pleasure of hearing him preach at a Psalm 119 conference in Ohio (two years ago?) and really appreciated his preaching.

About Julia

Here's what you might like to know about me. My name is Julia and I'm a Christian. I love the Bible and, much less importantly, a good steak. My goal with this site is to share the truth of scripture with believer and non-believer alike, and to specifically encourage believers to study and know the Bible, and warn them of false teachings in and around the church. Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith."
