Must listen: SUFT’s program on Furtick

Today’s broadcast of Stand Up for the Truth discusses the recent news that came out regarding Steven Furtick and Elevation Church and a rather disturbing coloring book for the children of that church. I think Mike and Amy did a job of treating this with the gravity it deserves and Godly attitudes. Listen here.

In case you haven’t heard the latest, World magazine’s Warren Cole Smith has an excellent recap of the Furtick controversies here.

Chris Rosebrough (Pirate Christian) has been tweeting about Furtick a lot this week and you can see his tweets online, as well as access his Fighting for the Faith podcast archive. Rosebrough often reviews Furtick sermons, which he rightfully criticizes for narcissistic eisegesis and improper handling of Scripture.
