A Christmas Sermon from Matthew 1 and 2

Matthew 1:21-23 “She will bear a Son; and you shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who will save his people from their sins.  Now all this took place that what was spoken by the lord through the prophet might be fulfilled: saying, ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel.’  Which, translated, means ‘God with us.’”

The powerful truth of Christmas is in who Jesus was and is. He is the one who can save us from our sins and the eternal consequences of those sins.

Here’s a great Christmas message about that called The Power of Christmas Truth by Pastor John MacArthur.

About Julia

Here's what you might like to know about me. My name is Julia and I'm a Christian. I love the Bible and, much less importantly, a good steak. My goal with this site is to share the truth of scripture with believer and non-believer alike, and to specifically encourage believers to study and know the Bible, and warn them of false teachings in and around the church. Romans 1:16-17 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith."
