Cessationism, Continuationism and Charismaticism (Video)

I’m a cessationist. I think anyone who has been reading my blog for any time at all realizes that.

But I hope that whether you are also a cessationist or are a charismatic (and especially if you aren’t sure) you’ll watch this video of Phil Johnson explaining from Scripture why he is a cessationist.

In this message, Johnson tackles the thorny issue of whether certain apostolic gifts (healing, tongues, direct revelation) were expressly for the Apostolic age, or are still being manifest today. He makes his case from the Bible itself and the history of the Christian church. I think it is profitable and instructive to consider what he says, regardless of which side of the issue you fall on.
